Respiratory Therapist:
Full Time Nights, 36 hours per week. 7pm - 7am
SUMMARY: Performs the evaluation of cardiopulmonary function, the treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment, the assessment of treatment effectiveness, and the care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Under the direction of the manager, assists in meeting the physical and emotional needs of the patient. The patient population would include:
The neonate patient
The pediatric patient
The young-middle aged adult patient, and
The geriatric patient.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Ohio Medical Board License
BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP
Diploma from College based respiratory program.
Registry or registry eligible by the NBRC.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
The therapist must be competent using equipment such as pressure gauges, flowmeters, regulators, gas systems, simple oxygen analyzers, infant warmer, oxygen masks and cannulas, humidifiers, air compressors, ventilators (including manual types), suctioning apparatus, tracheostomy and endotracheal tubes, and oral airways.
