Prolink is partnered with an established aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer in Tipp City, Ohio seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead its Quality Management System and overall quality function.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for quality assurance, quality control, supplier quality, audits, corrective actions, and continued compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements. The Quality Manager will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain while serving as a key quality contact for customers, suppliers, and third-party auditors.
Own and maintain the AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Plan and conduct internal audits and manage customer and registrar audits
Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action efforts
Manage Quality Assurance, inspection, testing, and receiving inspection activities
Serve as a primary quality contact for customers, suppliers, and auditors
Monitor quality metrics and communicate performance and corrective actions to leadership
Maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, document control, calibration, quality records, and nonconforming material processes
Support supplier qualification, supplier corrective actions, and supplier performance
Ensure compliance with customer, contractual, and applicable industry requirements
Partner with Operations and Engineering on continuous improvement efforts
Reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer returns
Lead quality training and development of quality personnel
Support new product introduction, process validation, and workmanship standards
Quality leadership experience within the aerospace and/or Department of Defense manufacturing industry
Minimum 5 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Direct experience conducting internal audits and managing external customer and registrar audits
Demonstrated leadership of root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; significant directly relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
Electronics or electromechanical manufacturing
IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification
CQE, CQM, or Lead Auditor certification
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
