About the Opportunity
A well-established, not-for-profit health system in Roanoke, VA is hiring a Pharmacy Operations Manager to also serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC). This is a direct-hire leadership role overseeing distributive operations, scheduling, and workflow for the inpatient pharmacy team, working closely with pharmacy administration.

What You'll Do
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate distributive functions, scheduling, and daily workflow for pharmacy staff
- Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge — regulatory compliance, controlled-substance accountability, and inspection readiness
- Partner with other departments and pharmacy administration to deliver and monitor pharmaceutical services
- Manage direct reports and support integrated, high-quality pharmaceutical care
- Step in as a clinical staff pharmacist as needed
What You'll Need
- PharmD or BS Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college
- Active Virginia pharmacist license, OR eligibility to complete VA reciprocity within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 3 years of hospital/health-system pharmacy experience
- Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and workflow-management skills
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to work autonomously
Preferred: Prior PIC experience, multi-site management, and familiarity with pharmacy automation (Pyxis/Omnicell) and USP 797/800.
