Health Aide - Psych
Overview
The Psychiatric Aide supports patients with mental health disorders in inpatient or residential facilities. They facilitate daily routines and de-escalate crises under RN or therapist guidance, implementing treatment plans and ensuring safety. The ideal candidate will have expertise in behavioral health support and crisis intervention, with experience in psych settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with ADLs and hygiene for psych patients.
- Monitor patient behavior and safety.
- Facilitate group activities and therapeutic milieu.
- Document observations in EHR systems like Epic.
- Respond to crises with de-escalation techniques.
- Collaborate with mental health teams.
