Operations Manager

Job Title: Operations Manager - Manufacturing (Onsite)
Location: Elizabethtown, KY
Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 base (flexible based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite (supports a 2-shift operation)

Overview

Prolink is supporting a manufacturing client with an Operations Manager search for a facility in Elizabethtown, KY.

This location operates with approximately 20-25 employees across two shifts and focuses on wire draw and mesh wire production. The site supplies material to other internal facilities within the company’s network.

This is a hands-on operations leadership role responsible for day-to-day production and overall plant performance.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities across two shifts (wire draw and mesh operations)
• Lead supervisors and hourly production employees
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage
• Monitor and drive performance across safety, production output, quality, scrap, and labor efficiency
• Coordinate with maintenance to support equipment uptime and reliability
• Work with materials and inventory teams to ensure proper production flow and inventory levels
• Ensure on-time production and delivery of materials to internal facilities
• Support and enforce training programs for production personnel
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvements across the operation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, waste reduction, and workplace organization

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Direct experience managing production teams and day-to-day operations
• Experience working in a hands-on, floor-based role
• Strong understanding of production metrics including output, quality, scrap, and labor

Preferred Experience

• Background in metals, wire, fabrication, or similar manufacturing environments
• Experience in multi-shift operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

Role Scope

• Oversees a small manufacturing operation of approximately 20-25 employees
• Responsible for execution across production, staffing, safety, and performance
• Works cross-functionally with maintenance, materials, and other internal teams
• Accountable for maintaining consistent production flow to downstream facilities

• This is an onsite role with daily presence on the production floor
• The role requires direct involvement in plant operations and team leadership
