Production Manager

Compensation: Up to $130,000 base salary

Position Overview

Prolink is working with an established manufacturing company in Henderson, TN to hire a Production Manager for a hands-on, floor-focused leadership role.

This position will lead production performance across a multi-shift operation and will be responsible for driving safety, quality, output, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, training, and daily execution on the manufacturing floor.

The environment includes metal manufacturing processes such as welding, plating, and powder coating. This role is a strong fit for a production leader who is comfortable being visible on the floor, working through supervisors, and staying close to daily production issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead production performance across all shifts

• Manage daily workflow, staffing, scheduling, and production priorities

• Drive performance around safety, quality, production output, labor, scrap, and cost targets

• Ensure shop floor standards, procedures, and operating programs are followed and sustained

• Work with Materials to support production schedules, inventory levels, and changing customer requirements

• Partner with maintenance/tooling/engineering teams on machine setup, tooling, equipment needs, and production priorities

• Ensure labor and material availability to meet customer ship schedules

• Support training programs for shop floor employees

• Lead 5S, visual management, cleanliness, and organization across production areas

• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

• Work with HR and site leadership on staffing needs and employee issues

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience preferred

• Experience leading production teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment

• Experience supporting or managing a multi-shift operation

• Strong shop floor presence and comfort working directly with supervisors and production teams

• Experience managing safety, quality, labor, production, scrap, and productivity metrics

• Ability to prioritize daily production needs while also coaching and developing people

• Experience managing change in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills

• Proficiency with MS365

Preferred Experience

• Four-year degree

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher

• CAPM or equivalent project management experience

• Metal forming experience

• Projection welding experience

• Powder coating/plating experience

• ISO 9001 experience

• Engineering/maintenance exposure

• Spanish language skills

Compensation/Benefits

• Base salary up to $130,000
