Overview
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under occupational therapists to help patients regain functional abilities. COTAs play a hands-on role in restoring independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) across pediatric, geriatric, and neurological populations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of occupational therapy practices and patient care, with experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement therapy plans to improve patients’ daily living skills.
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques.
- Maintain a safe therapy environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Manage inventory of therapy supplies and adaptive equipment.
- Document patient progress in EHR systems like Epic.
- Educate patients on therapy techniques and equipment.
