Save The Dates: Nursing Conferences You Can’t Miss in 2024

April 5, 2024

One of the most effective ways to network with other medical professionals is to attend nursing conferences. Nursing conferences let you find out what your peers are up to while giving you a chance to stay up to date on all of the industry advancements.

When choosing conferences to attend, there are numerous options on the table every single year. Travel and attendance fees aren’t exactly cheap, so how does one figure out which conferences are worth the price of admission? Prolink has the following recommendations to keep in mind–including a few that we’ll be attending ourselves.

American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) 2024

The AONL 2024 conference will take place in vibrant New Orleans from April 8–11, with the expo hall open April 9–10. The theme for 2024’s conference is Inspiring Leaders. It’s a conference that helps connect nurse leaders with visionary and forward-thinking experts while allowing them to get to know cutting-edge practices around the industry.

A great option for new and experienced nursing leaders, the AONL conference will also feature exhibitors displaying their innovations and can be expected to draw over 4,000 attendees ready to learn from one another.

For the full conference, an AONL member can expect to pay $1,400, while non-members pay $1,700. For single days, a member pays $650, and non-members pay $750.

If you’re attending AONL this year, come visit Prolink at booth 901 and chat with us about tailored workforce solutions for your hospital.

Nursing World Conference

The Nursing World Conference allows scientists, nurses, educators, clinicians, and many other professionals from around the world to join in and share ground-breaking research.

With keynote presentations, workshops, oral sessions, and more, this global conference offers a unique opportunity to build connections with nurses from around the world and to learn from the diverse nursing practices available.

The Nursing World Conference will take place at Best Western Plus Hotel & Conference Center in Baltimore, MD. You can also participate virtually. It will run from October 17–19. You can purchase tickets online until October 17. Tickets start at $539.

TravCon 2024

TravCon is an annual conference that takes place in Las Vegas, NV, aimed exclusively at travel nurses. It prides itself on bringing the travel nursing community together and is considered by many to be the “must-attend” annual conference for travelers. This year’s TravCon will take place at Paris Las Vegas.

Offering the chance to network and hear from industry professionals, TravCon also makes it possible to earn CEs. Every year, almost 2,000 people attend the conference. If you attended last year’s TravCon, you may remember Prolink’s delivery-themed booth and stylish bucket hats–and we’ll be back in Vegas this year, too!

The general admission ticket is $399, but you have many options to enhance the experience, with features like the Traveler Success Boot Camp for an additional $75. Continuing education credits aren’t included, but you have the option of getting them for discounted rates if you complete the courses online before arriving.

TravCon 2024 will take place from September 22–25, with the expo hall open from September 23–24.

TraumaCon 2024

This conference is an excellent option for nurses who work in trauma care. It will offer topics such as improving long-term outcomes after surgery and advancing diversity, inclusion, and equity. It will also offer sessions that focus on individual types of trauma injuries.

TraumaCon 2024 will take place April 10–12 in the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL. Members pay $795 while non-members pay $920. There are varied fees for moderators, instructors, and more.

Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Conference

Med-surg nurses have the chance to create lasting connections, learn clinical best practices, and mingle with thought leaders at the 2024 AMSN Annual Convention. This year’s event will take place in Toronto, Canada, so having an up-to-date passport is essential for Americans traveling north for the conference.

The conference will take place September 12–14. For members, the cost is $575, while non-members pay $695.

2024 AVA Annual Scientific Meeting

For nurses who work with vascular access devices, this is one of the most important conferences to attend. You’ll have the chance to participate in hands-on training, educational sessions, and networking.

In the general sessions, you can expect to focus on clinical research, evidence-based practices, and technological advances. Nurses can earn up to 35 CEUs at the conference.

It will take place September 28–30 in Denver, CO. Early bird registration fees are $595 for members and $795 for non-members.
