Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) you will assist providers and other members of the clinic health care team by performing a variety of back-office and patient-related tasks to ensure a smooth patient workflow within the department. In this role, you will provide a variety of patient care procedures within the scope of practice as defined by the Samaritan Clinic under Washington State certification. The scope of practice may include, but is not limited to: injections, EKG's, ear lavage and blood draws, measuring patient vital signs, manage rooming and patient flow, including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties as well as informing the provider of schedule changes that impact patient flow.
Shift/Hours:
Multiple Day shifts available to include 7:45am - 5:15pm OR 8:00am - 7:00pm
Compensation:
Pay: Min $19.73 | Max $33.24
Requirements:
License: n/a
Certification: Medical Assistant, Certified through WA State
Experience: Preferable 2 years of experience.
Education: HS Diploma or GED
Preferred:
Urgent care experience.
About the Unit:
Patient Population: Pediatric to geriatric -
Patton Clinic: Includes Care Today/Family Medicine
Pioneer Clinic: Includes all specialties from OB, Peds, Cardio, Podiatry, Urology, Pain, Behavioral Health, Gastro, General Surgery, Ortho, Family Med and Care Today.
MA to Patient Ratio: Patton (Care today/Family Medicine) 17-25 patients a day.
Pioneer (Specialty) 5-25 per day.
Are there any competencies lacking in your current team that you would like to see in a potential candidate? Demonstrated competency in the provision of care for customers/patients across the age continuum. Critical thinking in seeking appropriate direction and the ability to independently exercise safe judgment in decision making. Ability to practice within legal and ethical guidelines. Demonstrated competency on equipment and skills.
