The Infusion RN will need to be skilled in inserting and maintaining PICC or midlines and starting intravenous lines. The Infusion RN will manage routine PICC/midline dressing changes and several different types of transfusions/infusions.
The Infusion RN will need to prepare patients and their families on how to care for the line site, tubing and manage a catheter. Educating on the possible side effects/issues that can arise from the infusion therapy and how to recognize symptoms of infection is a big responsibility of the Infusion RN.
Our client may require the following: prior experience with infusion therapy and an AHA BLS certification.
