The Step Down RN will need to be able to read EKG rhythm strips and be aware of any rhythm changes that occur. They will need to closely monitor the vitals of very sick patients who may be prescribed complex medications requiring titration.
The Step Down RN must provide frequent assessment of patients to ensure stability.
Our client may require the following: prior experience in a Step Down setting, willingness to float to similar units, and AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.
