Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and tech-savvy Automation Technician to join our team. As an Automation
Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems
and equipment. Your expertise in automation technology and programming will play a crucial role in
optimizing our manufacturing processes and enhancing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will
have a strong background in automation systems, PLC programming, and a passion for staying updated
with the latest automation technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and calibrate automated systems and equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces
(HMIs).
• Collaborate with engineers to design and implement automation solutions for production processes.
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections on automated systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Diagnose and resolve automation system malfunctions and faults.
• Monitor automated processes to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency.
• Provide technical support to production teams and assist in training operators on automation systems.
• Keep abreast of advancements in automation technology and recommend upgrades or enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and protocols for all automation systems.
• Keep accurate records of automation maintenance and activities.
Requirements:
• Associate degree or technical certification in Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automation Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of automation systems, PLC programming, and industrial controls.
• Proficiency in programming PLCs and HMIs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
• Knowledge of robotics and robotic automation is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to handle automation equipment and perform installations.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to automation emergencies if required.
