JOB SUMMARY
The Director of implementation & Supplier Management is a hands-on role, building out MSP implementation and supplier management departments and functions for best-in-class delivery and service excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
⬤ Define and maintain the MSP implementation methodology
⬤ Establish MSP implementation workstreams, roles, and cross-functional responsibilities (RACI)
⬤ Lead MSP program scope validation and develop implementation kick-off decks
⬤ Create pre-discovery and implementation workbooks and tools to capture and document client data
⬤ Develop a Project Manager playbook and train the team accordingly
⬤ Design and execute supplier management strategy, including onboarding and vetting, relationship management, engagement, and optimization
⬤ Create and standardize supplier scorecard methodology, including calculation and execution across all MSP programs
⬤ Oversee the quarterly supplier scorecard process
⬤ Ensure annual supplier compliance, including COIs, licenses, certifications, and diversity status
⬤ Develop a supplier management tool to track capabilities, geographic reach, and skill sets to support supplier recommendations for new programs
⬤ Partner with VMS implementation teams on workstreams, training, and related collateral
⬤ Provide oversight and sponsorship for MSP implementations, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and client expectations are met
⬤ Collaborate closely with Operational teams during implementation and launch; escalate client issues, advise on resolutions, and optimize supplier management and performance activities
⬤ Lead and mentor Project Managers and Supplier Managers
REQUIREMENTS
⬤ At least 5 years of experience with MSP/VMS implementations
⬤ At least 3 years of experience in an Implementation Project Manager role
⬤ Demonstrated experience creating project plans, RACIs, and program playbooks
⬤ Proven ability to lead client-facing project management calls, make recommendations, deliver constructive feedback, and ensure on-time delivery
⬤ Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional implementation workstreams, influencing and managing stakeholders to meet project deadlines
⬤ Experience with supplier management and onboarding
⬤ Ability to lead, coach, and develop project management team members
⬤ Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
⬤ Ability to travel as needed for new client launches and corporate meetings
