The Pediatric RN is responsible for the care of Peds patients, this includes infants, children and adolescents. They are often responsible for helping families cope with their child's illness or injury, in addition to educating families on proper diet and nutrition of children they also teach lifelong good health habits.
The Pediatric RN's education and specialized training enables them to provide emotional and medical support to young patients and their families.
Shift/Hours:
Multiple Shifts available to include Day and Night shifts.
Compensation:
Pay: $34.68 - New Grad | $44.22 - Mid | $53.75 – Max.
Tuition Reimbursement: $4000 annually for Full-time; $2000 annually for Part-time. Eligible after 180 days of employment.
Must Haves:
License: IL RN license
Certification: CPR/BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience: Must have PICU Experience for Night shift; will consider just Pediatric experience for Day shift.
Education: Associates Degree or higher in Nursing.
*If Associates Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021).
Preferred
Prior experience in acute care setting preferred.

Patient Population: Neonate and up 17 years of age;
Common Diagnoses: Asthma, new onset diabetes, behavioral health patients, eating disorders
Average # of Admits per day: 2 - 4
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4
