The OR RN provides care for patients before, during and after surgery while also serving as the communication contact to family members in the operating room.
Provide care to the surgical patient, gather sterile supplies and instruments needed for case, circulate case which includes prep and positioning, assist anesthesia, document surgical record.
Shift/Hours:
Multiple Shifts available to include Day, Day/Evening, and Night shifts.
Compensation:
Pay: $34.68 - New Grad | $44.22 - Mid | $53.75 – Max.
Tuition Reimbursement: $4000 annually for Full-time; $2000 annually for Part-time. Eligible after 180 days of employment.
Must Haves:
License: IL RN license
Certification: CPR/BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Experience: Must have 1 year of OR experience.
Education: Associates Degree or higher in Nursing.
*If Associates Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021).
Preferred:
Prior experience in acute care setting preferred. Ideally have OR experience.

Beds: 18
Patient Population: Varies across the spectrum, some peds, most adult population.
Common surgical cases & approximate # of cases per dayC: Gen surg, ortho, Neuro, Uro, GYNE, plastics, ENT. 50-70 cases/day.
Scrubbing, circulating, or both?: Both preferred, not required.
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1
