March 19 marks a special occasion in the nursing community: Certified Nurses Day, an annual celebration of nurses who hold national board certification in their specialty. Certified nurses represent the best of the profession, their certification serving as a symbol of their dedication to excellent care. This March 19, Team Prolink extends our deepest gratitude to the nurses who went above and beyond to achieve a certification in their chosen field.
Prolink would especially like to honor the certified nurses on our internal team:
- Natalie Jones, NPD-BC, NEA-BC
- Mary Hamilton, NE-BC
- Caroline Ashman, CMSRN, NPD-BC
- Lindsey Borgmann, CBN
- Erika Blattenberger, RNC-NIC
- Amber Wagner, PCCN, CPHQ
- Jessica Burkhalter, P-SANE
March 19 is the birthday of Dr. Margretta "Gretta" Madden Styles, RN, EdD, FAAN, a pioneer in the broad implementation of nursing certification. She developed the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), spearheading the acceptance of nursing regulations in the US and abroad. Nurses and patients worldwide still feel the impact of her work today.
