The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the care of patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders in an Emergency Room setting.
They will respond to all trauma and code arrivals and assist in airway management, intubation, ventilation, noninvasive modalities, monitoring, and in-house transports. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for managing patient ventilators and artificial airway devices. They will also educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
