The NICU RN is responsible for life sustaining duties including administering medication, monitoring vitals and providing nutrients to premature and sick newborns, in addition to consistently monitoring breathing, as most often their lungs are not fully developed.
The NICU RN is expected to work closely with physicians and other high level nurses to create treatment plans and communicate these to the family.
Our client may require the following: prior experience in a NICU setting and AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
