While Prolink’s Women in Leadership program has evolved alongside this rapidly changing organization, its commitment to fostering a culture that provides women the space and opportunity for growth remains unchanged.
The annual program unifies women who have expressed a strong interest in leadership roles. Whether through their current role, an initiative they’ve spearheaded to impact the people they work with, rapid professional growth or otherwise, these women have solidly demonstrated the skills it takes to be a leader.
The 11-month series focuses on providing well-rounded development for participants. It includes a speaker series, sharing female-focused leadership literature, and open dialogue around the challenges of being a leader and more.
We asked our Women in Leadership alumni to share key learnings and experiences from their cohort. The quotes have been categorized into top themes.
Empower women to become the best version of themselves, personally and professionally.
“As a young professional, I am always looking at a ten-year scope of what is next? After being surrounded by such amazing women in this program, I am truly empowered. They give me confidence that I will be able to juggle being a successful businesswoman while also being an amazing mom.” – Jen Holbrook
“I love working for a company that goes out of its way to recognize the importance of females in leadership roles. The Women in Leadership program has allowed me to be vulnerable and share my successes and struggles with other female leaders in the organization. Through this program, Prolink is not only allowing women to learn from one another, but we are cultivating an environment where women feel empowered to take ownership of their careers.” – Lindsey Cullen
Challenges at work and at home can be overwhelming. A space for open dialogue without criticism and judgement is indispensable.
“I respect all the women in my class so much and genuinely enjoy hearing their stories, advice and struggles. I have learned in my short time in Women in Leadership that I’m not alone. Most of the feelings that I have felt or are currently going through are not unknown among the other women in the group. There is calming effect knowing you’re not in something alone.” – Katrina Simpson
“We were a support system to each other. We were inspired by each other’s stories, whether they were accomplishments or struggles.” – Megan Rossomando
“This program gives an open forum for women across all ages to discuss their lives inside and outside of work, to challenge ourselves and continue to grow as individuals.” – Jen Holbrook
The reach of the program extends beyond its participants.
“After each meeting, I am so excited to take what I’ve learned back to my team and share it with other women to help them grow as well. It’s definitely something I look forward to each month to gain encouragement and have open discussions about scenarios that have arisen since our last meeting.” – Megan Henke
“My time in Women in Leadership has been nothing short of amazing. I leave every meeting rejuvenated and empowered to go back to my team and pass on my confidence and knowledge.” – Katrina Simpson
“From the class, I now read women-based business books and listen to podcasts to keep educating myself on women in business so I can share with my team here (highly recommend checking out Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis).” – Megan Rossomando
We appreciate the incredible value these women have already brought to Prolink and look forward to the innovative thinking they are poised to generate and share.
