You grew up in a town where the population of cows is higher than the population of people. Tell us a favorite memory of growing up there!
My favorite thing about growing up in Mount Gilead, OH, hands down had to be the amount of time I got to spend with family. I think my favorite memories either came on the baseball field or on the golf course with Mom or Dad or Grandpa. I spent most of my time in the summers on the golf course with them and was always around the sport, still play with them to this day! The other part of my childhood was all about summer league baseball. Favorite memory of that was my little cousin Nick throwing me out at 1st base in the only year of baseball that we had together before I stopped playing.
You’ve been golfing since you were 6 years old and have played on many courses. What has your favorite been so far? If you could play a round on any course in the world, where would it be?
This is a tough question to answer… I have played a lot of top tier courses. I would say my favorite is Hazeltine National in Chaska, MN. Just unreal experience and the greens were lightning fast, but the course was fair and playable! Now if I could play anywhere, it would hands down be Augusta National in Georgia. I would probably call off work and buy an emergency flight down there to play if I were to somehow be invited there.
What is your favorite part of being a Professional Recruiter here at Prolink?
What I love about being a professional recruiter is that I could focus on the people that work with me both internally and externally. I love being able to do more coaching and teaching the teams internally, but also building relationships with the talent I work with, it’s what I enjoy the most and I take pride in what I do!
We hear you are a gamer at heart. What video games will we find you playing for hours on end?
Call of Duty, Fortnite, Pokemon, Skyrim. I go in waves. Usually this time of year, I will work out after work and then get my gaming headset on and run some matches with my friends. I’ve always been into gaming and don’t really see that subsiding anytime soon! Or if new Pokemon games come out, I usually will spend a good amount of time to beat them and move on. Skyrim, I’ve owned and beat 4 times, but never completed all quests, so it’s still a blast to play.
If you had unlimited resources for the next two years, what would you do? (After two years, you go back to your life as it is now.)
If I had unlimited resources… wow this is a good question. I would most likely bounce around the world with my girlfriend and go to more amazing destinations. Golf clubs would always be with me, maybe bring our cat along? Probably finish our European touring, A lot more of Asia, African Safari? I’d also probably try to start a restaurant at some point in that 2 years as well. Owning a restaurant is kind of our end goal! There’s so much that can be accomplished in 2 years!
What is a nerdy thing about you? (i.e. are you a Star Wars buff? Do you know a stupid amount about a particular book, period of history, or hobby?) What is it about this nerdy thing that sparks your interest?
I am a huge geography nerd and along with that have attempted to teach myself multiple languages outside of English and Spanish that I learned in High school. I am one of 2 people in my high school to ever get 100% on both Geography finals. I tried to teach myself Russian and Portuguese too (hence the amount of traveling we try to do)!
Lets talk about superpowers… which one would you have? Why?
I would hands-down have the ability to fly anywhere or be fast enough to run on water like the flash. The world is an amazing place- I want to see everything that I can while I am on it!
Who is your favorite character of all time (can be from anything, movie, book, TV, whatever)? Why?
Favorite character ever…. Is Andy Dufresne from Shawshank redemption. Not that I would be framed for anything incorrectly, but to be that cunning to escape the prison all while getting dirt on someone is next level (Sorry for the spoiler alert). That movie in particular I have ties to- Grandpa worked at the prison it was filmed at (Mansfield Penitentiary) and I grew up a short 30 minute drive to.
