The Emergency Room RN must be able to triage patients and prioritize care, while continually evaluating condition and stability by any of the following: Conscious Sedation, Starting IVs, Cardiac Drips and Cardiac Monitoring.

Night Shift: FT, 36 hrs./wk., 7 pm - 7:30 am
Compensation:
Pay: $34.68 New Grad | $44.22 Mid | $53.75 Max.
Tuition Reimbursement: $4000 annually for Full-time; $2000 annually for Part-time. Eligible after 180 days of employment.
Requirements:
License: IL RN license
Certification: CPR/BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. *ACLS, PALS, and NIH required within 3 months of hire but preferred to have upon hire.
Experience: 1 year ED RN experience required
Education: Associates Degree or higher in Nursing.
*If Associates Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021).

Additional preferred certifications: TNCC/TNS and ECRN.

Patient Population: Wide range of patient population as an ED sees/treats everything. Pediatric ED open 9a-1a. Level II trauma center. Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Average # of Admits per day: Average daily ED census is 215. About 20% of ED patients daily get admitted into the hospital.
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3-4, Changes based on acuity.
