The Surgical ICU RN is responsible for the care of critically ill patients. They will need to evaluate and monitor patient progress, maintain patient sedation while monitoring vital signs, administer critical drips and monitor effectiveness while titrating medication doses according to hospital protocols in response to patient vital signs, and provide ventilator care.
The SICU RN will need to be able to identify any sudden changes in a patients' medical condition and respond quickly to all medical emergencies.
Our client may require the following: prior experience in a surgical ICU setting, and AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
